On Sunday, we saw the New Orleans Saints lose their 7th straight game, this time to the Carolina Panthers. They hit what was officially one of their lowest points in decades and judging from several player’s reactions, there was a clear-cut sign that changes need to be made. Less than 24 hours later, the Saints took action by firing head coach Dennis Allen. Special teams coordinator Darren Rizzi has been named interim head coach and in his first press conference, he mentioned how things had been done the same way for a long time and it was time for some changes. With the team sitting that 2-7, and hope for the playoffs all but lost, (without some help), what will those changes be and will it be enough to help salvage the season?

On Sunday, we saw the New Orleans Saints get “Rizzed Up” to defeat the Atlanta Falcons in the Caesars Superdome. This was their first win since Week 2 and their first under interim head coach Darren Rizzi. It’s always great to defeat the Falcons but this game was one that got both the players and fans fired up, something we had not seen in New Orleans for a while now. All week there had been talk of changes that Rizzi made in meetings, the locker room and practice. Whatever took place, it definitely worked because the team had reignited a missing spark.
The New Orleans Saints (3-7) are back home in the dome again this week to face the Cleveland Browns
The event will be held Saturday, November 14th, at Chateau Country Club.
