The Minnesota Wild can't pretend that they have secondary scoring anymore. They might have been able to claim that when Joel Eriksson Ek was healthy. Seven of them were either scored by Kirill Kaprizov, someone on Kaprizov's line, or the power play, which primarily features... you guessed it, Kaprizov.

Despite losing five of six games before beating the Chicago Blackhawks on Monday, the Minnesota Wild have 21 wins. Now, do they have any signature wins? That's debatable. Getting back-to-back wins at the Stanley Cup Champion Florida Panthers and Tampa Bay Lightning is impressive, and so is taking down the Edmonton Oilers on the road.

If Kirill Kaprizov is healthy anytime in the near future, he's going to get Hart Trophy love. His health is the only thing stopping him from being the clear-cut front-runner. Through 34 games, he has 23 goals and 50 points, which translates to a full-season pace of 55 goals and 120 points. He's been unreal this season, bearing a ton of the load for Minnesota and carrying their offense in spectacular fashion.

Among the first-round picks in recent Minnesota Wild history, defenseman Carson Lambos might be the most anonymous.

Thanks partly to Kirill Kaprizov 's scorching start, Marco Rossi has been enjoying quite the breakout as the Minnesota Wild's No. 1 center. The two have played around 60% of their even-strength minutes with each other, and both are having career seasons. For Rossi's part, he's scored 11 goals and 26 points in 34 games when Kaprizov's been in the lineup.

When we wrote about Marco Rossi 's game evolving during the season on Friday, we weren't expecting him to add a new wrinkle one day later. But that's the kind of thing that happens when you watch a player take "The Leap," so we've got to write more about it.

In some respects, it's hard to complain about Matt Boldy, even for a little bit. Look at the big picture, and you'll see a player averaging 30 goals and 69 points per 82 games. He's an absurdly talented young winger whose shot and playmaking skills are equally terrifying.
