In a clash of SEC titans, the No. 8 Tennessee Volunteers suffered their fourth loss in seven games, falling to the No. 12 Kentucky Wildcats 78-73 this past Tuesday in Knoxville. Despite a valiant effort to claw back from an 11-point second-half deficit, the Volunteers struggled to sink their perimeter shots, a stark contrast to their nation-leading three-point defensive stats heading into the game. As reported by WATE, Tennessee watched their lead disappear early in the second half and couldn't recover as Kentucky's sharpshooting overpowered their defense.
