University of Wisconsin-Madison law professor Adam Stevenson said he did not think the jury would come to a decision this soon.

The changes include dropping the speed limit on nine new roadways across the city . It's on top of 38 other locations where speed limits have been reduced.

So far, the city has presented the community with two options. It will either cut back on certain services or ask voters to increase property taxes through a referendum.

Dozens of families gathered outside the Harmony Apartments Friday for what's called the “Wear Orange” initiative. It's to show support against gun violence.

Nearly a year and a half later, Little John's is moving out of a space in Fitchburg it had planned to use as a new kitchen. More than 900 items of equipment meant to be used in that space are being auctioned off to cover lingering operational costs. Any money left over will be invested into Little John's future.

The money is being granted by United Way of Dane County to grassroots organizations working with the Harmony Apartments neighborhood to create change.

The red street markings will indicate bus-only lanes.

Event parking rates were last raised in 2016. The city says it will help bring in more revenue, support extra staffing and cover maintenance and operating costs.

The community is now stepping up to help those still without power and others without a home.

City leaders and local developers put shovels in the ground Wednesday afternoon.
