STM tootball gears up for quarterfinals

RAPID CITY, S.D. (KOTA) -The St. Thomas More football team ran its winning streak to seven with a 40-13 victory in the opening round of the 11B playoffs. The Cavaliers will next play at Mt. Vernon/Plankinton Thursday night in the quarterfinals. The two teams met earlier this season with the Titans winning a tight game 36-30.

STM volleyball team earns win over RC Christian

RAPID CITY, S.D. (KOTA) -The St. Thomas More and Rapid City Christian volleyball teams renewed their rivalry Tuesday night. It was the Cavaliers who picked up a 3-0 victory. STM improves to 25-13 on the season while the Comets fall to 16-17.

Sabres come up short against Bozeman

RAPID CITY, S.D. (KOTA) -The Badlands Sabres hit the ice to take on the Bozeman Icedogs Friday night. The Sabres scored the first goal of the game late in the first period, but Bozeman rallied back to win 5-2. The same two teams will play again Saturday night at the Roosevelt Ice Arena.

RC Christian and STM volleyball teams earn playoff victories

RAPID CITY, S.D. (KOTA) -High school volleyball teams hit the court for region playoff matches Thursday night. Rapid City Christian and Hot Springs played a tight match with the Comets prevailing 3-2. St. Thomas More also picked up a 3-0 victory over Lead-Deadwood. RC Christian and St. Thomas More now advance to play for a trip to the SODAK 16 on Thursday.

RAPID CITY, S.D. (KOTA) -The Stevens volleyball team wrapped up the regular season by taking on SF Lincoln on Saturday. After dropping the first set the Raiders rallied back to win the match 3-2. RC Central fell to SF Washington 3-0.

RAPID CITY, S.D. (KOTA) -Class “A” and “B” volleyball teams hit the court for SODAK 16 matches Tuesday night with the winners heading to the state tournament. Kadoka knocked off Parkston 3-1 to secure a spot at the “B” state tourney.
