Matt Mueller grew up in Evanston. His parents, Jill Shellabarger and Roger Mueller, are both actors, as are his three siblings: his twin sister, Abby, sister Jessie and brother, Andrew. All of them work steadily in theater in Chicago, with touring companies or on Broadway or off-Broadway in New York. Matt has worked with Andrew on a show, but has yet to work with his sisters or parents. (He's still hoping, though.) Once the pandemic hit, he left New York City and returned to Evanston.
