MARCH 16, 1951—More than two million Easter Seals were mailed out to Manitoba residents early in March, when the Kinsmen Clubs of Manitoba launched their annual Easter Seals Campaign in support of the Society for Crippled Children. (Later renamed the Society for Manitobans with Disabilities and now known as Manitoba Possible).

There is an old saying that all good things must come to an end. And so it was with the Steinbach Kinsmen in 1992, when the small group of men, who were making a valiant attempt to keep the club going in Steinbach, decided to call it quits.
1992: The provincial government has awarded the RM of Ritchot a $100,000 grant to help build a water pipeline from New Bothwell to Ste Agathe.
Living up to the pledge of an early slogan, which members of the news staff were happy to see the last of, The Carillon News , grew from an eight-page weekly to nearly 30 pages by the 1960s, all the while continuing to “Cover Southeastern Manitoba Like the Morning Dew.”
The first attempt at launching an annual agricultural exhibition for Steinbach and the surrounding farming community in the RM of Hanover was anything but a resounding success. The fair was one of the two most memorable events of 1932, for completely different reasons. That was the year the Pietenpol airplane flew and the agricultural fair flopped.
In 1992, Jared Funk, in his final year of high school at Niverville Collegiate, was one of the starting six on the Niverville Panthers volleyball team.
