Former Florida State Representative Michael Horner faced a judge Saturday morning after he was accused of battery against an Osceola County School Board member, according to the St. Cloud Police Department.

Rey Antonio Sands, 31, is wanted on charges of attempted second-degree murder and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon in connection to a shooting in Winter Springs that left one person injured, police said.

OCALA, Fla. - A 23-year-old man is in critical condition following an officer-involved shooting in Ocala on Sunday afternoon, officials said.

Another front will swing through Central Florida on Monday. Most areas will remain dry but a few afternoon showers and storms will be possible, mostly across areas south of Orlando.

Police said the man was in serious condition after the shooting.
