Indian Railways, one of the worlds largest public transporter, ferries millions of passengers every day. The railways runs over 12,000 trains from across India including thousands of sleeper trains that ply on long-distance routes. The long-distance trains have mainly five to six kinds of coaches - general class, sleeper, 3rd AC, 3rd AC Economy, 2nd AC and 1st AC. Of these, Sleeper, 3rd AC and 3rd AC Economy have middle berth provisions - it means, one compartment has six seats - three on each side and two on the corridor side namely side lower and side upper.
