It looked for a bit like Dave Clawson and Wake Forest were going to at least start recovering from last year’s 4-win season, the first time they didn’t go to a bowl in 8 years. After a loss to previously winless-in-conference Cal, though, the Demon Deacons are now staring at needing to win at least two of their last three games, against UNC, Duke, and Miami, to get to the six-win mark — which means they’re in real danger of missing out on a postseason for two years in a row.
