(WGHP) – With Hurricane Milton in the Gulf of Mexico and several southeast cities cleaning up from Helene, meteorologists have been using several key weather terms that can be hard for the average person to understand.

PIEDMONT TRIAD, N.C. (WGHP) — Talk about a cold front! We've been in the 50s all day Sunday which, compared to Saturday afternoon, is nearly 25 degrees colder in a 24-hour period. The chilly weather remains into the evening and overnight hours with many in the low 50s after 8 p.m.
