Cherokee Nation leaders gathered Dec. 11 to officially celebrate a lease agreement with the Muldrow Cherokee Community Organization (MCCO) for a community center space that will provide the group a place to gather and fellowship for decades to come.

April 5, 1936 – Dec. 7, 2024 Funeral services for Louise Harvell, 88, of Muldrow, were held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 12, 2024 at Eastside Free Will Baptist Church in Muldrow.

The Muldrow Public School Board of Education held its regular meeting on Dec. 9, where board members addressed a range of important issues, from staffing and pay increases, to school construction projects and new district policies.

At their regular monthly meeting on Dec. 9, the Gore Board of Education made several significant decisions impacting the district’s upcoming projects and staffing for the 2024-25 school year. The meeting began at 6:03 p.m. and included motions to approve multiple proposals, trips, contracts, and new teaching appointments.

The Webbers Falls Board of Education has announced the hiring of Mike Mills as the district's next superintendent, following the retirement of current Superintendent Chris Whelan. Mills will officially take over the role on July 1, 2025, after a unanimous decision made during the board's regular monthly meeting on Dec. 9.

The Vian Police Department reported that some of Vian's Christmas decorations on display in the downtown Anna Bell Farmer Park were vandalized and damaged last week.
