Heading into next week, we are expecting more of the same with highs around 80 Monday and Tuesday with temperatures slowly moderating into the mid-80s as we get to the middle of the week. Sunny skies are also expected with comfortable conditions until we get to Friday when our next cold front is due to arrive in the region.

(PINPOINT WEATHER) — Good afternoon and happy Wednesday! It was yet another beautiful day across the Carolinas today with partly cloudy skies and comfortable conditions.

(PINPOINT WEATHER) — Good evening and happy Sunday Funday! After a pleasant day across the Carolinas, a developing tropical cyclone along the coast is going to push a significant amount of rainfall into the Carolinas on Monday and Tuesday. Potential Tropical Cyclone 8 is forecast to develop into Tropical Storm Helene before making landfall near or just south of Myrtle Beach early Monday afternoon. After moving inland the remnants of the storm will keep shower chance around throughout the week before we finally dry out next weekend.

The last time that we saw more than a quarter inch of rain in Charlotte was when Helene moved through.

(PINPOINT WEATHER) — Good evening happy Saturday! Behind the front, we are in store for a cooler evening followed by a wonderful Fall Sunday. Showers are possible for Election Day followed by more potential wet weather for the middle of the week. Also don't forget we fall back one week.

This weekend we are going to be treated to two special celestial phenomena with the Beaver Supermoon as well as the Leonids Meteor Shower peaking.

As for tonight and your Friday, clouds will be on the increase this evening and will be sticking around throughout the overnight hours out ahead of a cold front Friday. Low temperatures will be in the low 40s, followed by another seasonal day Friday with highs in the mid-50s. During the afternoon, though, we are expecting a few showers in Charlotte and snow showers in the mountains as a powerful cold front rolls through the Carolinas.

As for tonight and your Saturday, the showers we are seeing this evening will clear out by the middle evening hours, followed by falling temperatures. Up in the mountains, snow showers are expected to continue through the evening before wrapping up overnight. Saturday is mostly clear across the Carolinas, but temperatures will stay on the chilly side with highs in the upper 40s in Charlotte and likely staying below freezing in the mountains.
