Sunday will start off dry, but showers and thunderstorms will start to pop up by early evening and last until sunset. Outside of the rain, high temperatures will reach the mid 80s for most of the area with heat index values closer to the low 90s. Off and on rain continues into the week. We will be mostly dry with stray showers possible for Monday and Tuesday allowing temperatures to reach the upper 80s to low 90s. Heat index values will be in the mid 90s during this time. A cold front will move in bringing more widespread rain for Wednesday and Thursday. This will bring temperatures back into the mid 80s for the end of next week.

Temperatures are warming into the upper 80s to low 90s this afternoon with heat index values reaching the mid 90s in some spots. Although most of the area will stay dry, isolated showers and thunderstorms will form in the late afternoon and last until sunset. Tuesday will start out in a similar fashion with partly cloudy skies and temperatures approaching the 90 degree mark once again. Heat index values will reach the mid 90s before a cold front moves in and brings slightly cooler weather for the rest of the week. The approaching frontal boundary will cause widespread showers and thunderstorms Tuesday night into Wednesday morning. Isolated severe storms are possible with the occasional strong wind gust being the greatest threat. This will be followed by multiple disturbances throughout the end of the week causing rain chances to linger in the area for the next several days. Temperatures will remain in the mid 80s, feeling more like the upper 80s.

Memorial day will be a repeat of this afternoon. The morning will start off with stray showers before scattered thunderstorms return in the afternoon. Temperatures will reach the low 80s for highs both today and tomorrow. With the daily chance for showers, rainfall totals are piling up. Between three to five inches of rainfall are expected within the next week. Because of this, flash flooding will continue to be a possibility in the coming days. Afternoon highs will reach the low to mid 80s daily depending on the timing of showers.
