Sunshine and clam conditions continue today, but winds will pick up tomorrow and temperatures will begin to rise heading into the end of the week. Highs will top out in the mid 80s by the weekend.

JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) - Quiet and comfortable spring day today with temperatures in the upper 70s to low 80s and a few isolated sprinkles. More of the same tomorrow, then big changes are on the way heading into the weekend.

JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) - More showers and thunderstorms are on the way this week as our rainy pattern continues. A few storms will be strong to severe at times, and any mode of severe weather will be possible.

JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) - Rain coverage is already increasing at the lunchtime hours and is expected to continue expanding through the evening. There is another chance for a few strong to severe storms today, with the main threats being damaging wind gusts and heavy rain.

JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) - A few more showers are expected this afternoon. Otherwise, expect a cooler and gloomy day with highs in the upper 60s to low 70s. Widespread rain returns tomorrow with coverage peaking from around 11 AM to 6 PM. No severe weather is expected, but flash flooding could be a concern in some places.

JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) - A First Alert Weather Day remains in place for Wednesday, as the threat for severe storms has increased. Main impacts will be damaging wind gusts and hail, with the potential for a few tornadoes as well. It looks like better ingredients will exist north of I-20, but everyone will have a chance to see a strong to severe storm.

JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) - More rain chances ahead this weekend, with low end potential for a few stronger thunderstorms. If something does pick up some steam, it would contain damaging wind gusts or hail. Timing-wise, Friday afternoon and evening is when coverage will increase and rain is expected to continue on/off over the weekend.

JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) - Scattered showers and storms are back on the radar this afternoon, especially south of interstate 20. Rain is expected to fizzle out in the next few hours, and we should be dry through the evening for Pepsi Pops or any other outdoor events/activities.
