Happy Monday! A beautiful week ahead as high pressure takes over, keeping us dry and sunny for the next few days. Overnight we cool to the mid 50s, climbing to the upper 70s for Tuesday afternoon with plenty of sunshine. Highs really begin to soar for the second half of the week, with temperatures in the upper 80s, possibly low 90s for some! Humidity will also climb with those temperatures.

Happy Saturday! Get ready for a hot weekend! Saturday will be the more comfortable day, with highs in the mid 80s and humidity down due to the cold front that moved through last night. By the time we get into Sunday afternoon, highs reach the low 90s! We stay there all week long, so make sure you are hydrating and taking breaks in the shade if you plan on being outdoors.

Happy Tuesday! The heat wave continues on for the rest of the week with highs reaching the low/mid 90s. This evening, a few showers and storms could pop up, but if you see any rain, it won't last too long. We wake up on Wednesday in the low 70s and reach the low 90s again in the afternoon. There will be a bit more sunshine out there as well. A strong upper ridge breaks down over the weekend bringing in some showers as well as some cooler weather!

Happy Wednesday! High pressure continues to dominate this week keeping us dry and hot. Tomorrow we return to the low/mid 90s with dew points back in the 70s, which means it will be muggy and steamy out there. We stick in the 90s through the weekend with a few shower and storm chances possible on Sunday through the beginning of next week. We are trending hot at the start of next week but by mid week we should be cooling a bit to the 80s.

Stay weather aware today. We start the morning off with a few light shower chances, but storms start to spark up in our early afternoon along a cold front, continuing throughout the day and into the evening. Most of central Kentucky is under a slight risk (level 2), with our main threats including high winds and heavy rainfall. After the cold front moves through, our dew points will drop a bit for Monday with highs in the upper 80s/low 90s.

Happy Monday! We enjoyed a slightly cooler afternoon but the 90s return tomorrow. High pressure slides east on Tuesday keeping us mostly sunny and hot throughout the day. But, Tuesday evening showers and storms will start to fire up along a warm/cold front. A few of these storms could be strong. The rain will continue on and off overnight into Wednesday morning. We cool down again by mid week but return to the 90s for the weekend.

Showers and storms will be possible in our northern counties, some of these could be severe as the northern part of the state is under a marginal risk for severe weather. Isolated storms will continue throughout the night and into Wednesday morning. By Wednesday afternoon, more widespread showers and storms will be possible along a cold front. These storms also have the potential to be strong to severe. Damaging wind and heavy rain will be among the largest threats with these systems. Highs will cool to the mid 80s Wednesday and Thursday before another round of 90s for the weekend.

A marginal risk for severe weather is in place throughout the state with the main threat being strong winds and heavy rain. This is thanks to an approaching cold front. Isolated storms will be possible through the day and evening before we have a nice cool down moving into Sunday. The start of the week will be even cooler with highs only reaching the low 80s!

Happy Wednesday! It will be a hot and muggy end to the day with the chance for a few strong to severe storms late this evening and overnight. We will have an active Fourth of July with isolated storm chances throughout the morning and afternoon. A few of these systems could be severe with main threats of strong winds and heavy rainfall. The evening will hopefully be a bit drier and clearer, perfect for watching fireworks. Be sure to stay weather aware and keep your eyes on the skies.
