The early cloud cover begins to push out by the early afternoon leaving us mostly sunny, but still cold with high temperatures remaining well below average in the middle 30s. Winds today will stay breezy from the northwest with occasional gusts between 15 to 20 miles per hour into the evening.
Today would be a good day to take care of any last-minute preparations with mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies through the afternoon and relatively calm conditions. High temperatures will reach the middle to upper 30s and winds will stay fairly light into the evening.
A Winter Storm Warning is still in effect for all North Alabama and Middle Tennessee counties through Saturday morning. After widespread snowfall earlier today, slightly warmer air has advected from the south creating more of a wintry mix.
