Nigeria, Nov. 30 -- Ebong Eno, the first son of Governor Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom State, has described his late mother, Patience, as "very kind, very loving, and very caring".

“It has been a very troubling time for me, and pray that God will give me the grace to navigate out of this painful labyrinth.”

The senator said he expressed his concerns to the governor of Edo State when his son, Cyril, was appointed health commissioner recently.

Nigeria, Dec. 12 -- An aide to the Senate President Godswill Akpabio has apologised for "congratulating" Governor Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom State over the passing of the governor's wife.

Governor Umo Eno had earlier announced the proscription of the group.

The senator said he expressed his concerns to the governor of Edo State when his son, Cyril, was appointed health commissioner recently.

The Federal High Court in October barred the Central Bank of Nigeria and the Accountant-General of the Federation from releasing funds from the federation account to Rivers State.

“Whoever took that matter to court merely provided a recipe for anarchy.”
