, Leslie Lookout Park lies quietly by evening at the east end of the Ship Channel in Toronto's Port Lands. The recently opened park, along with its namesake lookout, features a large beach dotted with Muskoka chairs scattered amongst a few trees. While the facilities await a more clement time of year when beach towels and umbrellas will be spread about the beach, the site offers spots for contemplation of the city for the warmly dressed.

The four-building skyline at Main and Danforth in Toronto's East End remained pretty much unchanged for years until the addition of Linx Condominiums last year. Now, five more towers are under construction simultaneously, and things are just starting here.

Nassau Street, running along the north side of Toronto Western Hospital's site, had to be closed down for some time last week so that this mobile crane could be set up, and help set up in turn the crane that will tower over the site for the next few years, as the venerable health centre gets going on a new 15-storey surgical suite and patient care tower in its northwest corner.

Just offshore of Toronto, another winter day is about to break over Lake Ontario and the Outer Harbour Headland as the sun's reflected rays bounce through an opening in the clouds.
