The Ketchikan City Council during a regular meeting Thursday approved the city’s General Government and Ketchikan Public Utilities budgets, as well as a motion allowing the city to accept federal and Alaska state money as reimbursement for expenses related to the August landslides.

The Ketchikan City Council during a regular meeting Thursday unanimously authorized a $100,000 professional services contract with Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. to initiate a project to create an alternate water piping system for Ketchikan’s municipal raw water supply.
