Three years after the idea was presented, Teton High offers a course on aviation, now the second school in the state to have this program.

The county will hold a Flood Risk Open House on Wednesday, Sept. 19 from 6-8 pm at the courthouse for all to ask questions, learn about, and potentially submit review of the proposed floodplain map. According to GIS Manager Rob Marin, the current map they are using is from around 1988 as the map made and proposed in 2011 was flawed. As this map will likely be reviewed again in a couple of decades, the county encourages residents to come to the meeting.

Nearly all of Teton High piled onto trailers with various clubs, sports, and classes as they put on the 2024 Homecoming Parade. Students from Driggs Elementary and TMS lined the roads with hands outstretched to the candy flying through the sky. A pool of maroon and orange ran down the streets, and the band stepped in line with the beating of the drums. Homecoming festivities brought out the best of the Timberwolf spirit as all joined in shouting 'Go Teton!'

According to the county, there are 8,698 registered in Teton Valley and 6,793 came out to vote.

Veterans and their families were invited to join the students throughout the district all through Veterans Day for the assemblies and songs they sang to recognize and honor the veterans service. Each school performed their own assembly from kindergarteners to the high school standing in appreciation for those who served and sacrificed.

The Community Resource Center (CRC) has launched into their winter preparations by just finishing up a winter clothes drive and stacking the firewood. They are dedicated to connecting community members with resources available for those in need, and they are working to help prepare residents in the valley for the colder months ahead.

As of Saturday, Jackson Police Department confirmed with TVN there was a fight at the Teton County Fairgrounds just over a week ago between youth from Jackson and Teton Valley.
