It may be a bit confusing what to wear each day as temperatures rollercoaster between mild an cold - clipped version

Winds will be blustery Thursday in the wake of a cold front that will bring colder days to end the week

After a mild and very windy day, some colder air moves in overnight making for a much colder day on Friday

Dense fog will once again plaque parts of the area starting overnight tonight through the first half of tomorrow

Freezing drizzle and fog could create hazardous travel for these areas this evening and overnight

HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - Once again (sounding like a broken record player at this point), much of the area was plagued by another dreary day with clouds, fog, and drizzle. There is some good news as we head into the weekend. It may be foggy now, but I promise things will become clearer soon. Before they do, we will have to deal with some more low clouds, fog, and drizzle across the area overnight. For most, lows will stay a little above freezing. This is good as it will take icy road conditions of the equation. Friday brings hope for cloud and fog erosion from west to east, thanks to a frontal boundary with westerly wind. The most sunshine will occur over western areas, although some mid and upper level clouds could move through, bringing partly sunny skies. Eastern Nebraska may not get any sun as the clouds may not completely clear. I’m optimistic for some clearing in the Tri-Cities area by around or shortly after noon. High temperatures on Friday will range from the mid 40s east to the mid 50s out west. There will be a few clouds around Friday night, but most should avoid the fog. Far eastern areas would be the one area where we may see some fog. Low temperatures will mostly be in the mid to upper 20s to around 30°.

After a nice weekend, a reminder from mother nature on Monday it's still winter

A winter system will bring some snow to portions of the area this evening into the overnight

A weekend winter storm will begin wreaking havoc on a big portion of the Local4 viewing area starting Saturday afternoon.

HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - The big story for the next couple of days will be the frigid arctic air sticking around the region. So, while you may not have received the amount of snow you thought you should have gotten this past weekend, you will surely get in on these bone-chilling temperatures. Want some good news? Later this week, temperatures will rise above freezing allowing us to thaw out some, but will remain near to slightly below average most days. Some snow chances come our way again this week as well.
