Active weather pattern begins
Fire weather, warmer temps this weekend
Our gorgeous weekend continues with comfortable, above normal temperatures this evening and into Sunday. Sunday will be sunny with highs reaching the low 50s. Early next week we will see some major changes with cooler temperatures and active weather. Multiple systems will bring the potential for heavy rain Monday afternoon through Tuesday. A second system will bring more rain and possibly even some snow on Wednesday into Thursday.
Temperatures continue to drop this weekend, but overall conditions remain decent for travel around our region.
Temperatures through Saturday night remain frigid. We will drop back into the single digits overnight and into early Sunday morning. The good thing is these nice travel conditions do continue. Even though we could see a couple of flurries here and there we are generally still going to be dry through most of this week and of course through this weekend. Partly cloudy conditions continue Saturday night and overnight into Sunday. We’ll see partly cloudy skies again throughout the day Sunday before more clouds move in early next week. There are still no major weather systems expected as of now other than the small chance of a couple of light snow showers, but we’ll be keeping an eye on things as they continue to change getting further into the forecast.

We’ve seen another cold day and another cold night is on the way tonight. We will be dropping back into the teens as we continue to slightly rebound from these frigid temperatures that we saw over the last several days. A few flurries are possible throughout tonight and into Monday morning. We’ll see partly cloudy skies throughout the evening, transitioning into more cloudy conditions as we start off the work week. Monday and Tuesday, temperatures reach the 20s and those overnight temperatures are finally starting to recover a little bit. We’ll be back in the upper teens and 20s. By Wednesday, temperatures will return closer to normal with highs in the mid 30s. We still are not seeing any major weather systems in the forecast throughout this week, but will be keeping an eye on things in case anything changes.
Stop what you’re doing and go outside! Temperatures will remain warmer than normal through the rest of the weekend. We’ll continue to be in the upper 40s Sunday, with a few places even making another run for the 50s. We’ll have a decent breeze coming from the south. Other than a few of our more northern counties who may see a stray shower or two from the system moving across northern Minnesota, we’ll remain dry through the rest of the weekend. Next week we’re watching a few chances of smaller systems that could bring scattered rain and/or snow chances. This will be largely dependent on temperatures, which will linger near the freezing point Monday. We do get colder again by Wednesday as we once again see highs in the teens. After that we do rebound back close to normal, with highs in the 30s through the end of the week.
