A jam session is held from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. every Thursday evening at the Cathey’s Creek Community Center. It includes acoustic instruments with bass guitar and more playing and singing bluegrass, country, hymns, ballads and more. The floor is open to clogging and slow dancing. Everyone has a really good time. Refreshments are served at break and everyone is invited. There is no charge, but donations are greatly appreciated. Sammy Simpson gives free clogging lessons on Tuesday afternoons at 4 p.m. followed by adult lessons at 5 p.m.

Since New Year’s Day is today, we will not be holding jam session. Our next jam session will be on Thursday, Jan. 8. Since Jan. 8 is Elvis’ birthday there will be some decorations and music. Sounds like fun.
