Las Vegas has another nice day on deck to kick off the work week with afternoon sunshine and warmth.

Channel 13 caught up with a Las Vegas local waiting in line to sit inside a vehicle that runs on the sun. Aptera Motors and other sustainably-minded companies are in town this week at CES.

Southern Nevada will continue to trend on the cooler side with northerly winds gusting upwards of 20 miles per hour tomorrow. A Wind Advisory remains in effect for the Lower Colorado River Valley.

Low pressure continues to pull into Southern Nevada keeping our temperatures below average. Gusty winds will stay with us through the early work week.

Winds will pick up for MLK Day up to 20mph and gusts up to 30mph. Temperatures are below average Monday and Tuesday with highs in the low 50s

The BLM's comment period for the 'Mineral Withdrawal' is now open to the public. It's a move that would effectively ban mining for more than 300,000 acres in the Amargosa Valley for 20 years.
