A court has blocked the consecration and enthronement of the Rev. Bernard Otieno Owuor as the second bishop of the Diocese of Maseno East of the Anglican Church of Kenya (ACK) pending a judicial review of the episcopal nomination and election process. On 18 December 2024 the Kisumu High Court Deputy Registrar Gloria Baraza issued an order he court's conservatory order specifically restraining the ACK and its Primate, the Most Rev. Jackson Ole Sapit from proceeding with the consecration, facilitating his assumption of office and allowing him to discharge any episcopal functions.

A Navarro County Texas grand jury has indicted the Rev. Canon Edward Monk SSC, rector of St John's Episcopal Church in Corsicana, on three counts of theft. On 19 Dec 2024 the grand jury handed down complaints of Theft over $300K, Fraud in the 3rd Degree, and Credit Card abuse the NavCo Chronicle

The Anglican Church of Melanesia (ACoM) has launched an appeal for assistance after a magnitude 7.3 eathquake rocked the South Pacific nation of Vanuatu, killing at least 16 and injuring several hundred people. Telephone, electric and water services have been badly damaged or destroyed in Port Vila, the largest city in Vanuatu, a group of 80 islands home to about 330,000 people.

The Episcopal Church of South Sudan's (ECSS) Diocese of Wau has demanded justice for 17 members of its clergy allegedly tortured by soldiers of the Sudan People's Liberation Movement-in-Opposition (SPLM-IO), Radio Tamazuj reports. Led by Vice President Riek Machar, the SPLM-IO split from the SPLM in 2013 due to political tensions between President Salva Kiir Machar. The dispute led to the outbreak of the South Sudanese Civil War and continues to pose a threat to the stability of Africa's newest nation.

The Anglican Diocese of Niagara has been given the green light to reopen its cemeteries and resume selling burial services, following a five-month suspension due to financial compliance issues. This development comes after the diocese addressed concerns raised by the Bereavement Authority of Ontario (BAO) regarding the management of its Care and Maintenance Funds.

Okaloosa County Florida Sheriff's Deputies have arrested an ACNA rector, charging him with multiple counts of possession of child pornography. On 10 January 2025 the Sheriff's Office said they had detained the Rev. Frank Gough II the prior “on 30 counts of possession of child pornography following the execution of a search warrant at his home on 8th Street.”

The Rt. Rev. Samuel Mugisha Mugiraneza, the suspended bishop of the Diocese of Shyira, has been detained by police. In a 21 January 2025 post on X, the RIB stated “He is under investigation for alleged crimes of embezzlement and misuse of funds for personal gain during his tenure,” and was being held at the Remera RIB station in Kigali.
