Seasonable, sunny, highs low 60s with rain forecasted Saturday
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - A short-lived area of high-pressure will slide through the region today as we continue to develop a strong, low pressure and frontal boundary within the southwest. This means we’re keeping conditions clear this afternoon. Most of the region is reasonably dry this morning, but there could still be areas of isolated fog for the morning drive. Temperatures are expected in the upper 30s and lower 40s with wind at just 5 mph. This afternoon will increase temperatures to 57° - 61° with a mild north east wind between 5 -15 mph.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV)—Veterans Day continues to shape up to be beautiful. However, there are a few morning hiccups we need to be wary of. Patchy, dense fog is possible through the morning, with temperatures mainly in the lower 40s. Wind should remain rather light as we introduce foggy conditions, but jackets are worthwhile for the morning, especially if you’re heading out to a mid-morning veterans parade.
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - Clear skies remain with wind gusts between 20 - 25 mph late this morning through the evening. Morning low temperatures are expected in the 30s with afternoon highs in the lower 60s - 3 to 5° above average.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - High pressure remains more of the dominant feature today, but begins to center over the Central Plains and the Missouri River Valley. This will create wind less than 10 mph throughout the day. Temperatures, however, are still cold, and a little wind continues to pull out of the northwest. This means morning low temperatures are still expected in the 20s and low 30s but afternoon high temperatures will push up between 47° - 52°.
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - A large area of low pressure remains on the northern side of Minnesota today but is expected to drop a rather weak cold front through the region. This will enable partly to mostly cloudy skies throughout the day and may provide a few isolated showers towards our southeastern counties but not so much to the metro. Dense fog advisories are in place from 4 -10 a.m. and especially in lower line areas we could see the thickest fog with less than a mile’s visibility. Temperatures will be mild with morning lows in the upper 30s and low 40s and daytime highs in the lower and middle 50s. But as this front passes through, we drop temperature significantly into Tuesday.

This will keep any precipitation chances well to the north of us through the morning and the rest of the day, however mid-level moisture and a low-pressure/warm front just south of the viewing area will keep heavy cloud cover for much of our morning into the early afternoon. Overall, high pressure will win and suppress moisture, allowing for mostly clear conditions just in time for the final bell for the kids at school.
