Nina Sue Oney Patrick age 89 of White Oak, Kentucky passed away Saturday, December 21, 2024 at the Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Center in Hazard, Kentucky. She was born March 30, 1935 at Blanchester, Ohio to the late Elmer Clyde Oney and Erie Eleanor Whitt Oney.

SALYERSVILLE – Winter Weather Storm Blair hit the county on Sunday and at press time has yet to quit snowing for any amount of time, leaving many without power and roads nearly impassable at times, with more snow and cold temperatures on the way.
FRANKFORT – On Tuesday State Auditor Allison Ball released a limited-scope examination of Salyersville Water Works (SWW), with 10 findings reported for the time frame of July 1, 2021, through March 31, 2024. SWW was established in 1952 as a water provider for the city of Salyersville, formerly ran by a board, but has operated as a department of the City since October 2023.
