The first shooting happened just before 3 a.m. Sunday on Lacombe Street near Curran Boulevard. Minutes later, police responded to another shooting call. That shooting, on Hayne Boulevard near Lady Gray Street.

WWL-TV’s report says the fire marshal said the London Lodge violated its permit, which allowed only short-term guests. Investigators say they found “long-term apartment-type occupancies” at the motel.

According to a St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office spokesperson, the man was fishing with his children on the Old Spanish Trail Bridge on Sunday afternoon when he jumped into the water.
