I have seen multiple productions of this play, and this is the one that will survive in my memory.

All in all, this is a perfect production of an intriguing story written by Rebecca Gilman, the Laurence Olivier Best Play Award nominee for her play “Boy Gets Girl” in 2002. It is a short run, so book your tickets today.

I always like a new look at a familiar play, and this one does not disappoint. Melodrama replaces slapstick under director David Dubov-Flinn’s point of view, and that works for me.

The story is a long, convoluted one with as many twists and turns as a novel can tolerate. Its characters are quirky and constantly intriguing, even as the come and quickly go. It is a successful entry in the genre of mystery fiction.

I enjoyed the production, and seeing the play for the second time drove home the truth that it is a good play, worth investigating when you have the chance. I would suggest you not miss it.

I found myself in tears more often than I anticipated. When a group of actors can produce such a reaction with already-familiar material, it is nothing less than a theatrical miracle.

To say I enjoyed this show would be putting it mildly. I'd rather say I adored it, am still confused by it, and will be thinking about it for a long time to come. You need to join me in this confusion so we can talk about it later. I need that.

As a topic, this show presents fascinating challenges. Sibling relationships have rarely been the dominant force in a musical show. It is unlikely that we will see another such event, and so I recommend it highly. You will be moved, and you will be satisfied.
