The Wright City junior Wildcats hosted South Callaway in a dual wrestling meet on Dec. 30. As a team, ranging from five-year-olds to 14-year-olds, the Wildcats tallied a total of 28 wins and 16 pins.

Wright City plans to run at a slight surplus of roughly $124,000 this year in the budget that was approved at the board of aldermen’s Dec. 26 meeting.

Tickets for this year’s Warren County BackStoppers dinner and auction have sold out, but Sheriff Kevin Harrison is maintaining a waitlist and says there are still ways to give. The 13th annual dinner and auction will take place on Feb. 15 at the St. Ignatius Community Center in Concord Hill.
