Local actors to perform live during late-night screenings of classic film

They will next be heard during a Nov. 4 work session of the school board

During work sessions Monday and Tuesday, the Kenai Peninsula Borough School District’s Board of Education will discuss several high-interest topics including a proposed four-day school week, an updated districtwide cellphone policy, a charter application from the Kenaitze Indian Tribe and a charter renewal from Aurora Borealis Charter School.

Tuesday is Election Day! Voters in the Kenai Peninsula Borough will head to polls to cast their ballots in the races for U.S. president, for local seats in the Alaska Legislature, and to decide on a pair of ballot measures.

Only a week before the general election on Nov. 5, candidates are spending hundreds of thousands of dollars in the final days of their campaigns. Reports filed Monday with the Alaska Public Office Commission show Kenai Peninsula candidates spending over $140,000 across only three weeks this month.
