A day of litter picking took place on Northampton’s Brackmills Industrial Estate this month – all part of the globally recognised World Clean Up Day.

Winners included Charity of the Year Community Law Service, whose CEO Sarah Hayle was presented with a £1,000 cheque on the night. Enterprise awards were presented to Barclays Bank plc and to New Lodge Farm near Corby. Silverstone Museum scooped the Northamptonshire Tourism Award while Wellingborough-based Lucie Downer Performing Arts took home the Health & Wellbeing Award.

The charity, which works tirelessly to help people keep their homes, access welfare benefits, manage and move out of debt, save energy, and live in a warm home, provides face to face advice - at its Northamptonshire offices as well as out in the community.
