THOMASVILLE- In a retirement ceremony unlike any other, 61 years worth of friends, fellow sheriffs, legislators, officials, and community members gathered at The Plaza to commemorate Carlton Powell’s career as the longest-serving sheriff in the state of Georgia.

THOMASVILLE- Longtime artist Emily McKenna was overcome with joy and emotion on Thursday evening, as her first solo exhibit “Good Girl” opened at the Thomasville Center for the Arts.

THOMASVILLE- District One City Councilmembers Lucinda Brown and Terry Scott held a Let’s Talk Thomasville public forum on Saturday, inviting members of the public to voice concerns and ask questions.

THOMASVILLE- Thomasville City council members took a step forward for domestic violence survivors on Monday evening, approving a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) application on behalf of Halcyon Home for the construction of a new family violence shelter.
