In the space of three decades, from the mid-1980s to 2015, U.S. mainstream public opinion and the political, social, and legal status of the LGBTQ community changed dramatically. Lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people went from being a reviled, persecuted, criminalized, pathologized, and excluded group, politically and legally, to gaining status as equal rights-bearing citizens under the U.S. Constitution and in governmental policy.

Trump and MAGA Republicans are plowing ahead full throttle with their fascist agenda to create an authoritarian Christian nationalist theocracy that bans abortions, in vitro fertilization (IVF), and contraception and runs roughshod over the privacy rights of Americans.

Voters could elect a Trump administration that denies the climate crisis and whose policies are dictated by the fossil fuel industry. Or a Kamala Harris administration that builds on climate-friendly policies, curbs the power of the fossil fuel industry, accelerates a clean energy revolution, adapts...

“Trump and MAGA don’t speak for white men, and we won’t remain silent to the peril this fascist movement poses. We can help make history by electing Kamala Harris, the first African American and South Asian woman president in November.

“On the November ballot is whether we will have clean air and water for everybody no matter where they live, and clean soil to plant in. Whether kids will stop dying from asthma, and pipelines will stop being built across our states,” declared Tennessee State Representative Justin Pearson. “And if we'll have a climate and environment that is just.”
