The Middlesex County Museum and Historical Society Inc. will celebrate Black History Month with a presentation by Bessida Cauthorne White at 3 p.m. Sunday, February 25, at the Middlesex County Historic Courthouse, 877 General Puller Highway, Saluda.

Sundays at Two will continue February 25 with a presentation by Kati Rose at the Lancaster Community Library, 16 Town Centre Drive, Kilmarnock.

Lancaster by the Bay Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting Friday, February 16, to celebrate Small Town Burger's one-year anniversary at 81 South Main Street, Kilmarnock. Attendees included community and business members, representatives from the Town of Kilmarnock and the Chamber.

REEDVILLE—Doris Mae Shaw, 94, of Reedville passed away on Sunday, February 18, 2024. She was born February 13, 1930, in Pennsylvania to Carl and Olga Thralls.

HEATHSVILLE—Mary E. Headley, 86, of Heathsville, beloved mother and grandmother, went to be with the Lord on February 17, 2024.

LANCASTER—Craig Richard MacQueen, a man of tremendous depth, humility and quiet introspection, departed this world on February 10, 2024, at the young age of 71. His journey around the sun ended far too early. It always would have.
