INDIANOLA — Lauryn Garrett scored the team’s lone win, but the Newton girls tennis team was 0-3 in three-set tiebreaks during a 10-1 loss to Indianola on Monday in Little Hawkeye Conference action.

GRINNELL — Two wins and a plethora of runner-up finishes led the Newton boys track and field team on Tuesday, but the Cardinals took fourth in a four-team field at the Grinnell Invitational.
