Chicago-based developer Mavrek and leasing partner Cross Street have announced the start of pre-leasing at Belmora, a new mixed-use development at 919 W. Belmont. Located in Lakeview, the project site is located just east of the Belmont CTA L station and is replacing a pair of two-story retail structures that featured a collection of small retail storefronts including Ann Sather's.

Habitat, in partnership with Sinai Chicago, has announced the full lease-up of The Junction at OC Living, the second residential phase of the $200 million mixed-use, mixed-income Ogden Commons development located north of W. Ogden Ave, between S. Talman Ave and S. Washtenaw Ave in North Lawndale. Leasing for the project located at 1312 S. Talman

The Apostolic Church of God and J. Byron Brazier were recently joined by Mayor Brandon Johnson and other partners to celebrate the groundbreaking of the first phase of Woodlawn Central. Located in Woodlawn, the project is a multiphase megadevelopment centered around the church at 6320 S. Dorchester. The 8-acre development will span beyond E 63rd St to the north, beyond E 64th St to the south, within S Kimbark Ave to the west, and stop at the Metra tracks to the east.

Mayor Brandon Johnson recently joined Chicago DOH Commissioner Lissette Castañeda, Gorman & Company, the Phoenix Foundation and community partners to celebrate the ribbon cutting of the Charles Earle School Apartments. Located at the southeast corner of S. Hermitage Ave and W. 61st St, the former Charles Warrington Earle School was built in 1897 and served Chicago students until its closure in 2014.

Two development proposals have been unveiled for the 95th/State RFP planned by the Chicago Department of Planning and Development in partnership with the CTA.

The Chicago Department of Planning & Development has announced the selection of four developers to redevelop 30 vacant city-owned lots as part of DPD's Missing Middle housing initiative. Located in South Chicago and West Englewood, the 30 city-owned lots will be developed with a total of 62 new homes collectively valued at $27.6 million.

The Chicago Plan Commission has approved an expanded second phase for RiverWard, a townhomes development at 2235 W. Oakdale. Planned by ZSD Corp, the second phase will occupy a vacant site to the west of the current development site, bounded by the Chicago River to the south, N. Oakley Ave to the west, and W. Oakdale Ave to the north.

A full building permit has been issued for a mixed-use development at 526 N. Western. Planned by Panoptic Group, the project site is located midblock between W. Grand Ave and W. Ohio St. The property is currently occupied by a one and two-story brick building that would be demolished to make way for the project.

A full building permit has been issued for a residential development at 3768 N. Clark. Planned by Martin & Eileen Newell, the project site is an infill site near the intersection of N.

A full building permit has been issued for a residential development at 1257 W. Fry. Planned by Vam Development, the project site is a midblock site near the intersection of W. Fry St and N. Elizabeth St. The property was previously occupied by a two-story residential building and a rear garage that were demolished.
