The Zoning Board of Appeals has approved a set of variations for a condo development at 1282 W. Washington in the West Loop. Planned by ZSD Corp and Corwin Partners, the development is being planned for a midblock site along W. Washington Blvd between N. Elizabeth St and N. Ada St. The one-story structure that currently occupies the site would be demolished.

Related Midwest has announced that it has secured global law firm Sidley as the anchor tenant for 725 Randolph, its proposed Class AA office tower at 725 W. Randolph in Chicago's Fulton Market neighborhood. Originally envisioned as a two-tower residential and hotel scheme, Related Midwest

The Chicago City Council has approved a residential development at 1801 N. Winnebago. Planned by 1801 N. Winnebago LLC, the project site is located at the northeastern corner of W. Bloomingdale Ave and N. Winnebago Ave and is bounded by the CTA tracks along its eastern boundary. The property is currently occupied by a small one-story structure and surface parking.

Preleasing has begun for the apartments of the office-to-residential conversion of Wacker Place, a 25-story, 248,000-square-foot art deco tower at 65 E. Wacker in downtown Chicago. Planned by Mavrek Development and ACRES Capital, LLC the building at the intersection of E. Wacker Pl and N. Garland Ct was originally constructed in 1928 as the Millinery Mart Building.

The Chicago City Council has approved a residential development at 2210 W. Belmont. Planned by Barrett Homes, the project site is a midblock property near the intersection of W. Belmont Ave and N. Leavitt St. The two one-story commercial buildings that currently occupy the site will be demolished.

A full building permit has been issued for the West Garage, the first building of The 1901 Project, a $7 billion catalytic mixed-use development located around the United Center. Planned by United Center Joint Venture consisting of the Reindsdorf and Wirtz families, the project will redevelop 55 acres of privately owned land surrounding the iconic arena campus.

The Chicago City Council has approved a mixed-use development at 3240 W. Lawrence in Albany Park. Planned by APZ Holdings LLC, the project site is located midblock between N. Sawyer Ave and N. Spaulding Ave. The building was constructed in approximately 1916 as a fireproof storage warehouse and will be kept and converted for the development.

The Chicago City Council has approved the landmark designation of the Roger Brown Home and Studio. Located at 1926 N. Halsted in Lincoln Park, the home and studio is a store-and-flat building constructed in 1888 where Roger Brown had his studio on the ground floor and lived with his partner George Veronda on the upper floor.

The Chicago City Council has approved $357,000 in multi-family program funds for a mixed-use affordable development at 3959 N. Lincoln. Planned by affordable developer Brinshore Development, the project will rehabilitate the existing five-story Fifth Third bank building at the intersection of N. Damen Ave, N. Lincoln Ave, and W. Irving Park Rd.

Mayor Brandon Johnson has introduced to City Council a proposed public infrastructure agreement for approximately $425 million in TIF for The 78 megadevelopment in the South Loop. Located just south of W. Roosevelt Rd along the South Branch of the Chicago River, the 62-acre site is anchored by the Chicago Fire’s new stadium McDonald’s Park at 1331 S. Wells.
