Jeremy Young will represent Ward 1 on the Elgin City Council for the next four years. Antelope County Election Commissioner Lisa Payne announced last week that votes have been tabulated for the write-in campaigns of Young and Megan Beckman for the Ward 1 seat.

President Lisa Welding called the regular November Meeting to order at 6:31 p.m. The board members present were Eric Beckman, Ron Bode, Steve Busteed, Todd Heithoff and Lisa Welding. Luke Hinkle was absent. Also present was Superintendent Mike Brockhaus and Principal Greg Wemhoff.

The Board Meeting of the Village of Bartlett was called to order at 7:05 p.m. on November 11th, 2024. Four members of the Wolfpack earned first team All-NVC honors this week.

Six members of the EPPJ Wolfpack football team earned postseason recognition earlier this week. The Class D2-7 All District Team was announced.

On Tuesday, November 19 Elgin Public Library was again privileged to host author Jeff Barnes. He presented “The Queen’s Road – Nebraska’s Bumpy Ride to Statehood”.

A ‘Salute to Veterans’ will be held during the Wolfpack vs. Neligh-Oakdale JV/V basketball games on Tuesday, December 10.

On Saturday morning, perhaps one of the last good days before the onset of winter temperatures and the threat of snow, there was a reason to be thankful, extremely thankful.
