"It makes me want to continue to do better and continue to grow, learn and reach out to the community because it doesn’t end here," said Lianni Maldonado.

This skill will only enhance our already sought-after graduates in the job market,” said Suzanne Mathis.

The annual event was held Sept. 7 on the Summerville Campus.

"He never takes anything for granted and is always seeking more opportunities to learn more about the profession that he has chosen to go into,” said Kevin Kindle.

Three students collected 200 pounds of items and more than $300 that they used to purchase more supplies.

Though at their Atlanta area homes during the storm, three Augusta University students were horrified by the destruction and organized collections to help.

“I think Augusta really taught me how to be a good faculty member, one who gives back and contributes to the holistic mission of the university and the community.”
