“I think my biggest takeaway is how important it is to always treat people as people no matter what the situation is," said Madie Perreault.

“I’ve learned so much personally, but also professionally that I can share with others now,” said Jacqueline Prescott.

After graduation, Maddy Frediani plans to move to New York to coach at the John McEnroe Tennis Academy before returning to AU for graduate school.

"It makes me want to continue to do better and continue to grow, learn and reach out to the community because it doesn’t end here," said Lianni Maldonado.

"We need community partners, and community partners mean that it’s not just mutually beneficial, but it’s mutually respectful."

"I am excited that we will be filling this important area, SLP, that is desperately needed for all of Georgia," said CAHS Dean Lester Pretlow, PhD.

“The ability to provide a service that impacts both the short- and long-term health of our community members is a gift," said Beth NeSmith, PhD.

This skill will only enhance our already sought-after graduates in the job market,” said Suzanne Mathis.

The annual event was held Sept. 7 on the Summerville Campus.
