It's another dangerously hot day for Philadelphia and the Delaware Valley as heat indices could top out at 105 degrees or higher for several hour Wednesday afternoon. An excessive heat warning has been issued by the National Weather Service to warn people of the increase in heat related illnesses during extreme heat and high humidity events. The warning is set to expire this evening as a round of thunderstorms moves in overnight. This will knock not only our temperatures down several degrees but our dew points as well. While it will be hot on Thursday, it won't be quite as dangerous. We may finally break the heat wave on Friday as afternoon highs are forecast to stay below the 90s.
