Warning for political party donations: The Income Tax Dept is sending SMS to taxpayers who donated to political parties and had claimed section 80GGC deduction. Although you have nothing to worry if you genuinely claimed this deduction. But if you have not claimed this deduction genuinly then file ITR-U on or before March 31, 2025 to avoid 200% penalty.
