Christmas arrived early for over 40 animals in the care of Warren County Animal Control and Adoption Center (WCACAC). On Dec. 2, the county's Health and Welfare Committee voted to waive the fee for adopting cats and dogs from WCACAC during the month of December. The effect on the facility's numbers has been massive as a result.

Cold weather carries risks not only for people, but dogs, cats and other small animals as well. The Animal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) recommends pet owners bring animals inside if the temperatures are too cold with the adage, “If it's too cold for you, it's too cold for them.”
