Porsche is using seven new electric heavy goods vehicles at its Zuffenhausen, Weissach, and Leipzig sites. The electric trucks come from Scania, another Volkswagen Group member, and two other manufacturers.

The online giant is launching its largest fleet of heavy-duty e-trucks in Southern California. The new fleet comprises 35 Volvo battery-powered trucks. They will haul cargo containers and complement hundreds of electric vans, which Amazon already uses to deliver parcels throughout California.

British Columbia's public transport provider, BC Transit, says 66 electric buses are on order from Nova Bus and New Flyer. The buses are part of a funded electrification drive that will eventually see BC Transit run an entirely electric fleet.

ZM Truck has debuted in North America with a range of Japanese-infused zero-emission trucks. The newcomer showcased five models in the Class 4, 5, 6, and "baby8" segments at the ACT Expo in Las Vegas. The baby class includes a fuel-cell electric version.

Fast-charging provider Atlante has won a tender from motorway operator Autostrade per l'Italia (ASPI) to install and operate 90 high-power charging points. The chargers, which will deliver up to 400 kW, will be built at eight service stations along the motorways managed by ASPI in Italy.
