In October, English post-punkers Gang Of Four announced a 2025 farewell tour across the US and Canada, playing Entertainment! in full every night, plus a second set of hits and fan favorites. Initially, it looked like original singer Jon King and drummer Hugh Burnham would be hitting the road with Slint's David Pajo, who had been playing with them since 2022, but a new Instagram post on the band's official site has now announced that Belly/L7's Gail Greenwood will join Gang Of Four on bass, and Ted Leo will fill out the lineup on guitar. As for Pajo, he's “now pursuing his own projects.”

It wasn’t an easy autumn for Bright Eyes. After some disconcerting performances in support of September’s Five Dice, All Threes, the band canceled the remainder of their 2024 shows, citing Conor Oberst’s ongoing “vocal problems.” At the time, Oberst himself promised fans in a video message that the band would be back in 2025, and now so they are.

Method Man was allegedly involved in an assault at a Crunch Fitness location in Staten Island, according to the New York Post . The Wu-Tang member, real name Clifford Smith, allegedly punched Patrick Sokoya, described by the Post as a “family friend,” in the face seven times “with a closed fist,” which Meth denies. Sokoya had reportedly been romantically involved with the rapper's 28-year-old daughter more than a decade ago, and the altercation reportedly stemmed from that. Sokoya filed a complain with the NYPD, but Meth wasn't arrested.

Last we heard directly from Memphis' Kate Teague, the singer-songwriter had released 2023's EP. More recently, she appeared on Rui Gabriel from Lawn's solo entry “ Target .” Now, Teague has shared a gorgeous new single called “Get By,” which is giving some Cranberries vibes with its echoing, dreamy chorus.

Jason Balla of Chicago’s Dehd has a solo project called Accessory, which has released a handful of singles since 2018. A short bio describes the project as exploring “[the] darker waters and dissonant soundscapes without turning an eye on beauty.” According to Bandcamp, the last Accessory single was 2023’s “Wherever You Are Tonight,” and today Balla’s sharing a hypnotic new Accessory track called “Chain Link.”

Alabama visual artist and longtime musician/educator Lonnie Holley has announced a new album, the follow-up to 2023's guest-stacked Tonky is out in March and also features a metric ton of collaborators, including Mary Lattimore, Angel Bat Dawid, Joe Minter and Open Mike Eagle, Alabaster de Plume, Isaac Brock(!), Billy Woods, Jesca Hoop, and Saul Williams. Today, Holley is sharing a moving lead single called “Protest With Love.”
