The forecast is looking warm with increasing humidity and afternoon breezes for Acadiana into the weekend, but rain chances will be back for Sunday, and those chances increase well into next week.

After another nice one for Acadiana Saturday, look for increasing humidity and some rain chances developing Sunday into early next week...thereafter, it gets only wetter.

After a relatively quiet, warm and humid Tuesday, an extended period of high rain chances and the daily threat of locally heavy rains will develop for Acadiana starting Wednesday, and will likely continue through the last week of the month.

Acadiana is in for a multiday, perhaps a multiweek soaking wet weather pattern, that may ultimately bring some flooding conditions to the area...eventually.

Acadiana has entered the "soak, rinse, and repeat cycle" with upper disturbances sparking scattered showers and locally heavy thunderstorms today and most of the days ahead through next week.

More "scattered" torrential downpours and the possibility of some localized flooding remains in Acadiana's future through the holiday weekend.

After a one day break from the wet and unsettled weather pattern for Acadiana Friday, it will be back to more widespread showers and storms and localized heavy downpours for the area starting Saturday.

The chances of scattered showers and thunderstorms will increase again this week with highest chances and the risk of heaviest downpours returning by Wednesday and Thursday.

After a day or so break from the daily downpours across Acadiana, they'll be coming back in the days ahead with Wednesday and Thursday looking the wettest.

The chance of showers and some locally heavy thunderstorms will increase for Acadiana for the rest of the week with the possibility of some locally heavy downpours each day.
