Westmont Women's Basketball (5-6, 2-3 PacWest) was not feeling the famed aloha spirit after falling 64-63 in Thursday's game against Chaminade (4-8, 3-3) on Oahu.

The defense came up big and six different Warriors contributed to the scoring as Westmont Women's Basketball (6-6, 3-3 PacWest) defeated the Vulcans of Hawai'i Hilo (3-7, 1-3) by a score of 70-47.

Westmont Women's Swim dove into the new year by hosting a dual meet with The Master's at the Tom and Meg Names Aquatic Center on a picture-perfect day. It came down to the last race with the Mustangs edging out the Warriors 97-89.

Robert Ruiz, director of athletics for Westmont College, has named Lauren Matthias as head coach for Westmont Women's Soccer. Matthias, who has served on the coaching staff since 2017, becomes the program's 13th head coach.

A double-double by Lisa Kiefer, and strong second-half performances by Sage Kramer, Bailey Fong and Mariah Brown, led Westmont Women's Basketball (8-6, 4-3 PacWest) to a 69-57 conference road win over the Golden Eagles of Concordia (1-14, 0-8) on Saturday afternoon.

Four Warriors scored in double figures as Westmont Women's Basketball (9-6, 5-3 PacWest) defeated the Penguins of Dominican (11-9, 5-4) on Thursday night by a score of 72-61. The game was the first in a six-game homestand over the next three weeks.

Westmont Women's Basketball (10-6, 6-3) finished off the third week of January with a 71-55 conference win over Menlo (7-9, 3-6) on Saturday afternoon in Murchison Gymnasium.

Westmont Men's Basketball (6-11, 4-5 PacWest) could not take advantage of Thursday night's momentum, or a 12-point first half lead in an eventual 67-64 loss against the Menlo Oaks (8-7, 3-6).
