Morning low temperatures will be from the low to mid 70s followed by afternoon highs in the 80s to near 90 degrees. Can you say, “Hello Summer”? By the way, Summer 2024 starts Thursday, June 20. Apparently, Mother Nature is on an extended vacation!

Scattered thunderstorms will be found for the weekend with warmer afternoon highs that should be in the mid-80s. By next Monday, rain and thunderstorms will decrease. This will lead to much warmer temperatures. Morning lows should be in the low to mid-70s followed by afternoon highs either side of 90°. Remember that we are still in the Spring Season. Summer doesn't begin until June 20, 2024.

Morning low temperatures will be either side of 70 degrees Saturday and Sunday with low to mid-70s for the rest of the week and weekend. Afternoon high temperatures will be in the mid to upper 80s through Monday and either side of 90° Tuesday through Friday. It will be nice to get a break from the rain and storms!

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch is in effect until Midnight for almost all the ArkLaTex. We are still hanging on to a NW flow, a parade of disturbances, and SSE wind that is bringing abundant moisture into the ArkLaTex. This combination assures that our atmosphere will be capable of supporting strong to severe storms. The aforementioned storms to our west have produced large hail and damaging winds.

Morning low temperatures will be cooling from the low 70s Monday into the 60s for most of the week before rising back into the 70s next weekend. Afternoon highs will be in the mid-80s Monday rising into the mid-90s next Friday into the weekend. More summer-like heat prevails.

A bit more good news comes Friday into the weekend. It appears a stronger cold front will move into and through the Arklatex with rain chances Friday and Saturday before decreasing Sunday. Hallelujah!! Morning low temperatures will be in the low to mid-70s for next weekend with afternoon highs in the low to mid-90s. Let's keep our fingers crossed that this forecast pans out. We will need it by next weekend!
