We have a busy night ahead of us with nine games on the docket. That gives us plenty of options to choose from, so here are my FanDuel DFS lineup recommendations to help you narrow down the list.

Tuesdays are typically busy for the NHL, but today is anything but typical. While there will be a full slate with 13 games, because it's New Year's Eve, four matches will start in the afternoon or early evening, including the Winter Classic, which will feature Chicago taking on St. Louis at Wrigley Field, starting at 5:00 p.m. ET. There are no 7:00 starts, which minimizes the overlap with that special event, but seven games begin at 8:00 and two at 9:00.

Happy New Year! After a packed day of hockey Tuesday, the NHL is taking a breather with just one game to start 2025 – Los Angeles will host New Jersey starting at 6:00 p.m. ET. Because there's only one game, your FanDuel lineup will consist of five players, including a Captain spot that provides 1.5 times the points. You get a $55,000 salary cap.

The NHL was quiet for New Year's Day, save for the lone match between Los Angeles and New Jersey, but things are back in full swing tonight with 12 games on the docket. Here are my FanDuel recommendations for this busy night of hockey.

Wednesdays tend to be one of the NHL's lighter days, and tonight is no exception. There are just four games on the docket with two starting at 7:30 p.m. ET (Vancouver at Washington, Colorado at Chicago), one beginning at 10:00 p.m. ET (Florida at Utah) and one 10:30 p.m. ET start time (Calgary at Los Angeles). Sometimes a lack of options can make it hard to find value, so here are my FanDuel recommendations.

Six of the matches are set to start at 7:00 p.m. ET (Buffalo at Ottawa, Boston at Tampa Bay, New Jersey at the Rangers, Dallas at Philadelphia, Edmonton at Pittsburgh, Seattle at Columbus), one at 7:30 (Toronto at Carolina) and two at 8:00 (Anaheim at St. Louis, Colorado at Minnesota). There is just one West Coast tilt, which is Vegas hosting the Islanders, beginning at 10:00 p.m. ET.
