Luxury cruisers planning their prime vacation of the year often ask their travel advisor to book a “bucket list” voyage to Europe, Asia or Antarctica.

Two major executive appointments were announced this past week.

Hurricane Milton roared ashore on Florida ’s central west coast last weekend and traveled across the state with hurricane-force winds and driving rain. It also spawned numerous tornados. All major cruise home ports— Port Tampa Bay, Port Canaveral, JAXPORT, Port Everglades and PortMiami —were closed for a time, but began to open late in the week. All those ports have now reopened but port officials urged guests to contact their individual cruise line or travel advisor of any schedule change details. Some ships were stuck at sea during the storm and several cruises were canceled.
